All people who sit more than 1 to two hours a day in their chair benefit from RCPM.

A major part of all adults suffer from occasional backaches, especially while sitting. During movement (f.e. walking or cycling) the back is often a lot less painful. fitform was the first to succes in combinen the benefits of moving and resting in an armchair with a technique called RCPM.

RCPM stands vor Rotary Continuous Passive Motion. The seat of a RCMP armchair makes small rotational movements (0,8 degrees to the right and left) three to five times per minute, while the back support stands still. You barely feel anything and te movements are almost silent.

The rotational movement is produced by an electromotor that is built into the seat. Passive means that you do not have to do anything to produce the rotational movement. As soon as you sit down in the chair, the rotational movement begins. This will stimulate the metabolism in the intervertebral disc, rsulting in an increase of their strength. Because your spine is in motion, back complaings are reduced or even prevented. Swelling of the lower legs and feet cuased by prolonged sitting will also be reduces. Youy can relax in the comfort of your chair an d stand up again full of energy. Scientific research has shown that lower back complaints, in particular, can be signifcantly reduces and in some cases even prevented.

Warning: if back troubles are cuased by pelvic instability or a broken vertebra, use of the RCPM system is not recommended
